The Homebase Pharma Engineering is looking for a Process Engineer Pharma Engineering within the DP Solids circle for the Basel/Kaiseraugst site.
As a Process Engineer, you will be part of the "Pharma Engineering Drug Product" circle. They are responsible for innovative, GMP-compliant engineering as well as the reliable operation of complex production facilities in galenics (dosage form manufacturing). In a modern working environment, they support our business partners from the initial idea through project implementation to the life-cycle management of the systems. As an Operations Engineer in the solids area of Launch Production at LSL in Kaiseraugst, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the systems throughout their lifecycle and providing the operations team with technical advice and assistance.
Within the scope of operations engineering, modifications, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvements are implemented in direct cooperation with our clients.
Orders and projects are handled without hierarchies in self-organized specialist teams using a new role-based working model. This requires a high degree of self-organization, foresight, and team spirit, as well as excellent communication skills.
The perfect candidate:
Holds a degree in natural sciences or engineering (University of Applied Sciences/Technical University) majoring in process engineering, pharmaceutical technology, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field. The requirement profile includes at least five years of professional experience in project planning or operations engineering for galenical plants. Sound knowledge of GMP guidelines and process engineering requirements for equipment used in solid dosage form manufacturing is required. Furthermore, experience in containment, a willingness to work in an agile, self-organized environment, as well as very good German and good English skills are essential.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Efficient and effective operations engineering of our galenical solids facilities in Kaiseraugst.
- Creation, maintenance, review, and approval of project, plant, qualification, and HSE documentation (HSE = Health, Safety, and Environment).
- Implementation and assurance of state-of-the-art technology as well as regulatory and internal regulations/guidelines in the field of HSE and GMP.
- Proactively supporting clients in defining and initiating investment projects, including cost estimates and schedules.
- Leading projects and orders while taking responsibility for the technical solution, costs, and deadlines.
Must Haves:
- Basic technical education with a completed degree in natural sciences/engineering (University of Applied Sciences/Technical University), e.g., Process Engineering / Pharmaceutical Technology / Mechanical Engineering or similar
- At least 5 years of professional experience in operations engineering and/or project planning of galenical plants
- Sound understanding of GMP and process engineering requirements for process equipment and package units in the field of solid dosage form manufacturing
- Experience in the field of containment for employee and product protection
- Willingness to work in an agile, self-organized working environment.
- Very good German skills and good English skills are required.
- Independence, initiative, and integrity.
- Goal-oriented, flexible way of working in order to react quickly to customer requests.
- Questioning conventional thinking patterns and openness to new, creative ideas—even outside of familiar fields.
