They are in the midst of a multi-year Cloud ERP transition, moving their global operations to a private cloud environment. This is not just a migration; it’s a total modernization of their Application Lifecycle Management (ALM). We need a consultant to join their Centre of Excellence to act as the primary anchor for operational stability, ensuring that as the technology evolves, the "Run" remains rock-solid and compliant.

The Role: Bridge-Builder & Gatekeeper
In this position, you sit at the intersection of internal business strategy and external technical execution. You are the one who ensures that global SAP operations are not only functional but audit-ready and resilient.

Orchestrate Stability: Manage the daily operational health of a complex international SAP landscape, serving as the central point of contact for incidents and system availability.
Guard the Production Environment: Oversee the integrity of the live systems by governing all transport activities and release cycles.
Drive Partner Excellence: Act as the primary client-side lead for external Managed Service Providers (MSP), holding them accountable to SLAs and high delivery standards.
Evolve the Tooling: Play a key role in transitioning the organization away from legacy management tools toward modern, cloud-based transport and test management frameworks.

Technical Requirements (Must-Haves)
To ensure success in this specific environment, you must bring proven expertise in the following five pillars:

SAP Run Operations (Hands-on): You have a "service-first" mindset with deep experience in incident ownership, release coordination, and maintenance window planning in a large-scale international setup.
Change & Transport Governance: You are an expert in controlling the flow of changes into production. You can demonstrate experience managing transport schedules, emergency change protocols, and contributing to Change Advisory Boards (CAB).
External Provider Management (Client-Side): You have successfully managed external AMS or MSP partners from the customer side. This includes performance monitoring, escalation management, and leading service review meetings.
Audit & SAP Compliance: You understand the rigors of a regulated environment. You have handled SAP security notes, emergency access management (e.g., Firefighter/GRC), and the preparation of technical documentation for external auditors.
ALM Tooling (SolMan or Equivalent): You possess a strong working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM) or a modern equivalent (like SAP Cloud ALM). You understand how to organize governance within these tools to ensure a transparent audit trail.

Your Professional DNA

Communication: You are comfortable navigating organizational boundaries, from technical developers to business stakeholders.
Languages: English is the primary language of the project. German is a significant advantage given the regional footprint.
Adaptive Thinking: You can balance the need for rigid operational stability with the flexibility required for a major cloud transformation.
Bonus Tech: Experience with SAP Enterprise Portal or SharePoint-based documentation standards is a plus.
