Are you an experienced Strategic IT Sourcing Manager ready to drive change? Join our client's IT Procurement team in Zurich. This is a hands-on role with a focus on leading the IT Professional Services category, where you'll be instrumental in developing strategies, optimizing vendor relationships, and ensuring service excellence.
This is a maternity cover position with a contract duration of 10-14 months, and there is a possibility for extension. The role offers a 100% workload.
Your Responsibilities
As the Strategic IT Sourcing Manager, you'll be responsible for the full procurement lifecycle, from strategy to execution and management. Your key duties will include:
Category Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement short-, mid-, and long-term strategies for IT Professional Services, aligning procurement priorities with business objectives and technology roadmaps. You'll continuously assess market trends to keep plans current.
Sourcing & Commercial Execution: Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives for IT services, including contract negotiation and supplier selection. You'll focus on driving cost optimization, improving service quality, and mitigating risk.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business leaders on sourcing strategy and supplier performance.
Performance & Spend Management: Analyze spending, contracts, and supplier performance to identify savings opportunities and operational efficiencies. You'll also monitor the contract renewal calendar to proactively manage negotiations.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Partner with the shared procurement team and contribute to cross-functional initiatives and knowledge-sharing.
Your Profile
You will have a proactive attitude and a proven track record in strategic procurement. We are looking for someone with:
5+ years of experience in strategic procurement, with a preference for experience in IT services, vendor management, or IT contract management.
Proven expertise in category management, stakeholder engagement, and complex negotiations.
Strong project management skills and the ability to drive initiatives independently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
Fluent English (written and spoken) is required, and German is a plus.
A strong understanding of IT and digital trends, with a digital mindset being an advantage.
Familiarity with shared services procurement models is also a plus.
