About the job:
SMF Project, refurbishment of a chemical production building. Interface between project and operational activities. Issuance of work permits and monitoring of compliance with the protective measures described therein. Support of and relief for the building safety team.
Your Profile:
- Extensive experience with large-scale construction projects and production facilities in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, confidently managing interactions with clients and contractors.
- Open, communicative, and a strong team player, while being assertive, persistent, and reliable, maintaining a critical and inquisitive mindset as well as composure and oversight even in hectic situations.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Interface between construction site and operator
- Support for the existing SHE organization (operator)
- Issuing work permits to contractors
- Monitoring compliance with relevant safety regulations
- Participation in coordination and construction meetings
- Safety inspections as needed
Must-Haves:
- Education as a Chemical technician / Laboratory technician
- 3 years of work experience in chemical production
- Solid knowledge of construction site safety and SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment)
- Additional training as safety assistant or safety specialist (EKAS) or occupational safety and health specialist (ASGS)
- Experience with construction sites of large projects (interaction with client and contractors) and with production facilities in the chemical / pharmaceutical sector
- GMP Experience
- MS Office, Outlook, Google GSuite
- Fluent German and English

- Good Knowledge in French
- Independent, responsible, and proactive work ethic, as well as a strong safety culture
- Leadership qualities and experience
- Independent, meticulous work style with a quick grasp of new concepts
- Ability to intervene decisively and responsibly in hazardous situations and, if necessary, to halt work to ensure safety
