We are looking for an experienced Senior Verification & Test Engineer / Test Team Lead to lead and execute product verification activities with a strong focus on automated testing, HIL test systems, test framework development, and requirements-based verification.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, executing, analyzing, and documenting automated verification and product tests to ensure that our products meet defined product requirements, quality standards, regulatory expectations, and customer needs.
You will combine strong hands-on technical expertise with team coordination responsibilities, guiding a team of four test engineers and ensuring efficient planning, execution, and delivery of verification activities.
The ideal candidate is an experienced verification professional who enjoys solving complex HW/SW problems, improving test efficiency and scalability, and working closely with Product Engineering, Hardware and Software Development, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesVerification & Test Engineering
Define, develop, execute, and document requirements-based verification and validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
Develop and maintain automated Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test sequences using Python and Robot Framework.
Design robust, reusable, and scalable automated test solutions to improve test coverage, efficiency, and repeatability.
Plan and execute automated verification campaigns and evaluate test results against defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
Analyze test failures, identify trends and anomalies, and provide clear recommendations for corrective actions.
Ensure verification evidence and test documentation are complete, traceable, and compliant with applicable quality processes.
Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of test strategies, test concepts, test cases, and verification methods.
Test Automation & Framework Development
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve automated test frameworks, libraries, and test environments.
Create reusable Python-based test utilities and Robot Framework components.
Improve test execution speed, reliability, maintainability, scalability, and diagnostic capabilities.
Integrate automated testing into modern software development and verification workflows.
Maintain test infrastructure, interfaces, configurations, and supporting tools required for automated verification.
Identify opportunities to automate manual verification activities and reduce overall test effort.
Root Cause Analysis & Troubleshooting
Perform structured root cause analysis of HW/SW product issues identified during verification.
Troubleshoot complex problems across hardware, embedded software, communication interfaces, test environments, and automation infrastructure.
Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, isolate, analyze, and resolve defects.
Perform structured data analysis of test results and system behavior to identify failure patterns and potential product risks.
Document findings clearly and support defect resolution through the complete verification lifecycle.
Team Coordination & Technical Leadership
Coordinate and guide the daily work of four test engineers, ensuring effective prioritization and execution of verification activities.
Plan verification activities, distribute tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of test results.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to test engineers.
Review test concepts, test cases, automation implementations, and verification results.
Promote consistent testing methods, coding standards, documentation practices, and quality processes across the team.
Act as a technical point of contact for verification topics within cross-functional project teams.
Support project planning, estimation, risk identification, and reporting of verification activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Engineering, Software Development, Hardware Development, Systems Engineering, Quality, and Project Management.
Translate product and system requirements into practical and measurable verification activities.
Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, defect reviews, and project planning activities.
Communicate test status, risks, results, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Professional Experience
5–8+ years of professional experience in requirements-based product testing, verification, validation, quality engineering, or a comparable engineering discipline.
5–8+ years of hands-on experience with modern software development, verification processes, and supporting tools.
Strong practical experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated HIL test sequences using Python and Robot Framework.
5–8+ years of experience executing automated verification campaigns and analyzing test results.
Proven experience performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware- and software-related product issues.
Experience with structured analysis of test data, logs, measurements, and system behavior.
Proven experience maintaining and improving automated test frameworks and test environments.
Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams involving Product Engineering, Software Development, Hardware Development, and Verification.
3–4+ years of experience coordinating a small technical team, acting as a technical lead, or working in a project management/coordination role.
Technical Skills
Strong programming experience with Python.
Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
Good understanding of automated test architecture, test automation principles, and verification methodologies.
Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
Experience with REST APIs.
Knowledge of embedded communication protocols such as:
I²C- Modbus
- BACnet
Experience working with HIL systems, test benches, measurement equipment, simulators, or comparable automated verification environments.
Good understanding of software development and verification lifecycle processes.
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and documentation/reporting tools.
Experience with Windows environments.
Working experience with Linux environments.
Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink is considered an advantage.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related technical discipline, such as:
